About Tour

An Evening at the Nawabi Court: Royal Dinner Experience

Experience royal hospitality with a private evening at Khajurgaon Palace, the historic residence of Raja Amresh Kumar Singh and his family. This exclusive visit offers insight into Lucknow’s Hindu royal lineage, which existed before the Nawabs, lived alongside them, and continued through the colonial period into modern times.

Khajurgaon is recognized as the oldest Taluqdar estate of the former Awadh region. The family has received notable British-era honors, awarded by Queen Victoria and King George V in recognition of their legacy.

Built in 1896 by Rana Shankar Baksh Singh, the palace remains the family’s home today. Its architecture blends Awadhi design with colonial influences, highlighted by a grand hall decorated with hand-painted murals and period ironwork reflecting Victorian aesthetics.

Guests are welcomed into the family home for a cultural interaction, followed by a traditional Awadhi dinner prepared in the palace kitchen. Optional classical dance performances can be arranged to enrich the evening.
